In April of 2011 the Federal Reserve mandated additional new reforms to the Mortgage Industry. The new regulations affect the compensation a Loan Officer or Lender is paid for originating a borrower’s home loan. In layman’s terms the changes require that Loan officers and mortgage brokers charge each borrower in a uniform manner.  The need for such reform grew out of the practice by some Mortgage Originators of charging less sophisticated borrowers more for the same service.  All loan officers and brokers now have on file a specified uniform charge for all loans they fund with a specific lender, in many cases, subject to a minimum or maximum fee.  All companies charge for doing loans is not the same, however all persons they do loans for, will be charged in the same way.  These reforms affect any loans for properties in Borrego Springs, Julian, Warner Springs or the surrounding areas as well.
